Sony A7R II Field Test

Kyle Marquardt and Chris Niccolls go hands-on with the Sony A7R II and compare it to the Canon 5DSR

The full-frame Sony Alpha 7R II was announced in June 2015. It’s 42MP sensor allows its maximum expanded ISO to reach 102,400. The Sony A7R II also features 4K (UHD) video capability up to 30p. It has a more substantial magnesium alloy construction than the earlier A7 II camera. Additionally, its quicker phase-detection autofocus allows the camera to focus faster with its own lenses as well as those for other systems, which broadens its appeal to photographers invested elsewhere.
