Robert Frank Film Works is dedicated to the photographer and filmmaker’s film and video work over nearly four decades
Published by Steidl and available for pre-order now, the boxed set contains the book Frank Films, the booklets Me & My Brother and Pull My Daisy, and eight DVDs (four in PAL format and four in NTSC format), all presented in a custom-made wooden case.
The legendary photographer’s book The Americans is widely regarded as the most important post-war American photography book. It was this publication that made Frank well known as a photographer towards the end of the 1950s, although he then immersed himself in film work for many years.
In 2015, Laura Israel’s portrait of the photographer and filmmaker was first screened in the United States. Robert Frank – Don’t Blink is friend and collaborator Israel’s like-minded look at Frank who, now aged in his 90s, remains one of the greatest living visual artists.
