R.I.P. Leonard Nimoy – Secret Selves Photographer

Leonard Nimoy – best known as the pop culture icon ‘Spock’ from the TV series and movie Star Trek – passed away on 27th February 2015 aged 83

Nimoy also had a hidden talent: photography. In 2010, he unveiled an exhibition of photo portraits called Secret Selves at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Massachusetts. He described the photo show as a “social experiment,” for which he asked people to pose as their “secret selves”. In this video from the same year, Leonard Nimoy interviews Matt – one of his subjects – during the photo shoot of Secret Selves. It is a preview from the DVD included in one of Leonard Nimoy’s photography books.
